Awareness Ribbon Pins

If you want something that you can slip into everyone's stocking, or give out to a group as a small gift, you can find many great ideas in the stores. You can also come up with something that is meaningful to you and to those that you love. Everyone has a cause that is close to their heart, and this cause is often something that has touched their life in some way. You can find awareness ribbon pins that you can give out to those that you love or to any group you represent. These are in honor of fighting against a disease or condition, and the money used to buy them should go to that cause.

There are awareness ribbon pins for just about anything that you can imagine. One of the most commonly seen ribbons are for breast cancer research. These are pink and if you look around, you can usually see someone wearing one at any time of the year. The money used to buy these pins goes towards finding a cure for breast cancer. Not only are there pins, there are also products designed with pink ribbons on them. Some of the profits from these items go for the same fund. It may be one of the more successful ribbons today.

There are also ribbons for premature babies. The United States have a higher percentage of premature births than some less developed countries in the world and some of the reasons for this are unknown. The month of November is prematurity awareness month and the awareness ribbon pins that you can buy to fund research into prematurity are purple. If you have had a premature baby, or you know someone who has, you know that preemies can have lifelong problems. Supporting this research leads to healthier babies and less long term problems for these precious babies.

Another cause that has awareness ribbon pins that you can buy and give out is Autism. Children are being diagnosed with this condition at an alarming rate, probably mostly due to the fact that we now know what Autism is and how to spot the signs. The ribbon for Autism is not just one color. It is a ribbon that looks like puzzle pieces. When you by this ribbon or anything that supports this cause, money goes towards finding not only treatments for Autism, but also to find out why it is occurring so often in our children in the hopes we can find a way to prevent it in the future.

No matter what your cause, you can usually find awareness ribbon pins  for conditions and diseases that have no cure or that are becoming more problematic in our world. If you feel strongly about something, you don't have to buy a pin to give money. You can just write a check or volunteer your time for fundraisers. The pins are great to spread awareness, meaning those that see them remember that foundations need money and research is still needed. This can spur people to give when they decide they want to give to a cause. It might as well be the one that you believe in and support.
